The Way Out

steirischer herbst as a festival has always had a strong history of engaging with public space and is venturing radically out this year—outdoors, out of lockdown, but also out of the safe institutional bubble.

9.9.–10.10.

The festival will be extended by a whole week in 2021 and will start earlier than usual.
All works shown at the 54th edition of steirischer herbst from 9.9.–10.10. at various locations in Graz and Styria are newly commissioned works.

Graz and Styria

The program unfolds in various locations in Graz and Styria. A first premiere scheduled in the village of Hainersdorf already in June offers a preview of this year’s themes and approaches.
The full program schedule is published on 1 September.
