The botanical year is drawing to a close. At Kunsthaus Graz, reseeding, which lays the groundwork for future success, takes the form of an immersive, site-specific sound ritual: In dialogue with the audience, singers create a vibrant tapestry of sound that encompasses maqam, Romantic harmony, Indian ornamentation, and yodeling.

Re-Seeding is the final chapter of an interdisciplinary artistic research project that follows the rhythm of the year and takes place at three locations in Graz as part of BLOOM. Through discussions, collective improvisations, and presentations, singers and instrumentalists explore the role of flowers as a feminine symbol of love, loss, resilience, and peace across various cultures. Flower metaphors are made audible vocally and instrumentally.
