Late-Night musikprotokoll

Café Wolf is the festival bar and late-night stage for ORF musikprotokoll. At this legendary hangout of many musicians, conversations start easily. The café on Annenstraße opened in 1931. Walter Wolf renovated it in the 1970s according to the modern styles of the time, and this flair sets it apart today. In 2017, Thomas Fink and Michael “Mitch” Stoiser took over and have been offering a wide-ranging cultural and music program on Wednesdays and Thursdays ever since.

For ORF musikprotokoll, Café Wolf also opens its doors on Friday and Saturday. Rainer Binder-Krieglstein—a pop experimentalist and drummer on Bernhard Lang’s projects—curates and hosts the Friday night program. On Saturday, ORF musikprotokoll artists are given carte blanche. Among those using this opportunity is Kyiv-based Ian Spektor. who is also presenting a moving audio documentary about loss, memory, and everyday life during wartime at the Graz Museum.
