Haus Lebt 2026
Dear Future,​

Haus Lebt is an art and culture festival held in a wonderfully unsuitable venue—an unfinished, gutted, historically protected Baroque house whose sections have been moved, added to, and rediscovered. Layer by layer, new spaces for reflection on time, continuity, and change are revealed. After four years of excavation and restoration, it is time to look ahead. Renovation work begins, the construction site becomes a stage, and the festival opening turns into a roofing ceremony as we come to terms with uncertainty: “Dear Future, we don’t know what you have in store for us, and that is precisely why we carry on, for we do not believe that we are not meant to live in Hartberg.”
