The reactor core as a physical point of catastrophe mirrors the core of values—the ethical foundation that shapes society’s response to tragedy. The Chornobyl disaster is not just a date but a fracture in history, a rupture in the belief in safe progress, and a lingering shadow. Forty years later, we continue to ask difficult questions: Who is responsible, who remembers, and what is the cost of silence?

This international poster project emerges as a space for an honest and uncompromising visual dialogue. It is not about illustrating the catastrophe but about its consequences: fear, emptiness, lasting traces, and life after the explosion. It is about memory as an active practice, ecology as an ethical stance, and the future as a conscious choice. We present works that challenge, that refuse to let us forget. Since 1991, the 4th Block Triennial has shaped an international discourse on ecological awareness, bringing together over ten thousand works from sixty countries.
