Open Window

Open Window is an exhibition format by SAMA Kollektiv. In connection with this year’s arts and culture festival co nullvier, the show centers on artworks that address housing and property as contested political issues. Located at the Studentisches Wohnungsservice (SWS) kiosk, in the midst of an affluent neighborhood, the exhibition focuses on the politics of private property, access, visibility, and exclusion. Thanks to its transparent architecture, people can see inside the kiosk at all times, allowing them to experience the artworks directly. In this way, Open Window highlights critical perspectives from upcoming artists and situates the discussion of housing and property directly within the urban space of Graz.
