How do we respond to current crises and threats? What new spaces for thought are necessary to develop visionary concepts of social coexistence?

With the exhibition series (RE)NEW, esc medien kunst labor presents international media art projects. The installations open up perspectives on hybrid realities. Perception emerges as an object in its own right, in ephemeral shapes of light. Order and chance become intertwined in kinetic processes. Bodies appear in between the organic and the technological.

Renewal and transformation are understood as processes that continually reorganize themselves between humans, technology, and nature. Beyond aesthetic and sensory perception, media art installations give us the confidence that the future is open and malleable.
