how do you not lose history​ explores the idea of transformation and continuation. The project builds on previous exhibitions at the Pavelhaus, especially Im Void (2025), focusing on cultural responses to historical “voids” and “impossible events.”

In the “super remembrance year” 2025, the exhibition concentrates in particular on the thirtieth anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, raising awareness of today’s genocides within the context of ongoing global warfare. In an attempt to contribute to remembrance culture, historical anniversaries themselves become subjects of reflection, as do contemporary events such as those at the Peršmanhof Museum and Memorial Site in Carinthia or the Graz school shooting.
