Unseen Futures to Come. Fall

Exhibition

As individuals and as a society, we are currently facing instability and change, paradigm shifts based on ecological crises, raging conflicts all over the world, and growing insecurity. How do we make sense of that, and how do we live in these times?

With his concept of a library based on the seasons, philosopher Federico Campagna shows that our understanding of the world, mode of thinking, and perception of reality depend on the era in which we live. The season this exhibition engages with is fall. In fall, our beliefs and certainties start to crumble; we begin to see that everything can be questioned. The works on show address these feelings, understood as cyclical phenomena. Fall is the season of decay, but at the same time it celebrates life. Paradigmatically, the exhibition relates to the concept of hope that is intrinsic to and necessary for human existence and the belief in humanity as such.
