Pleasurable Sensory Overload
Performance and Installation
Design: Zhizhi Nini
Zhizhi Nini is a multimedia project by visual artist Svitlana Zhitnia, a.k.a. Zhizhi Visuals, and composer and sound designer Nick Acorne. JacqNoise is a Berlin-based sound artist who plays hardware synthesizers with chaos algorithms and deconstructs sounds and rhythms live.
As part of their SHAPE+ residency, the three artists use the 48-channel sound system and three projection screens at Dom im Berg to explore the interplay between live music and live visuals in a new way. They use sensor-based instruments, modular synthesizers, and game controllers to generate and manipulate visuals and sounds in real-time.
JacqNoise is a SHAPE+ Artist 2024.
