Herbst education deals with art, but even more so with topics—topics that concern us all, and how artists tell stories about them through their work, opening up new perspectives. Since 2021, steirischer herbst’s year-round education program addresses these topics, while, during steirischer herbst, the festival’s program is in focus.

Various workshops for adolescents and adults teach creating art as a means of expressing oneself, as well as methods of discussing contemporary art to reveal new ways of looking at our lives.
