Protecting your personal data is a matter of special importance to us. We process your data exclusively on the basis of the legal provisions (GDPR/General Data Protection Regulation, TKG/Telecommunications Act 2003).
The aim of this data protection notice is to inform you about the main aspects of data processing in connection with our website.

1. Data storage for ordering information material
Data entered during registration are intended for use of the service. The data collected can be seen in the input dialog filled out during registration. They include name, postal address, email address and, where appropriate, company name or title. The data provided by you are required to fulfill the contract and to perform measures ahead of the contract. Without these data, we cannot conclude the contract with you. The data are not sent to any third parties, with the exception of data sent to our authorized dispatch company for the purpose of delivering the goods.
Data processing is performed on the basis of the legal provisions of § 96 section 3 TKG (Telecommunications Act) and of article 6 section 1 lit a (consent) and/or lit b (necessary for the performance of a contract) of the GDPR.

2. Data storage for ordering tickets
The data collected can be seen in the input dialog. They include name, postal address, phone number and email address.
The data provided by you are required to fulfill the contract and to perform measures ahead of the contract. Without these data, we cannot conclude the contract with you.
The data are not sent to any third parties, with the exception of data sent to CTS EVENTIM AUSTRIA Gmbh, our ticket system provider, to Wirecard Central Eastern Europe GmbH for technical handling of electronic payment transactions, and to our tax consultant to meet our obligations under tax legislation.

In the event of conclusion of a contract, all data under the contractual relationship are stored until expiry of the retention period under tax legislation (seven years).
Data processing is performed on the basis of the legal provisions of § 96 section 3 TKG (Telecommunications Act) and of article 6 section 1 lit b (necessary for performance of a contract) and lit c (legal obligation) of the GDPR.

3. Newsletter
You can subscribe to our newsletter via our website. To do so, we require your email address, first and last name, and your consent to receiving the newsletter.
Once you have registered for the newsletter, we will send you a confirmation email with a link to confirm your registration.
You can cancel your newsletter subscription at any time. You can do so by clicking on a link in the newsletters themselves or by sending a message to the contacts below. We will then immediately delete your data in connection with sending the newsletter.
We send our newsletter with the MailChimp® newsletter service, a brand of the Rocket Science Group. We send the data collected in the form to MailChimp solely for the purpose of us sending the newsletter. 4. Other contact
If you contact us using the form on the website or by email, we store your data for the purpose of processing your inquiry and for the event of any follow-up questions. We do not pass on these data without your consent.

5. Photographic and video recordings
Photographic and video recordings will be made at our events. steirischer herbst festival GmbH is responsible for processing data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
We will use and disseminate the photographic and video recordings on the basis of our overriding “legitimate interests” pursuantin accordance with to Article 6, section 1(f), of the GDPR for the promotion and documentation in the media of steirischer herbst, and for passing to the reporting press and participants of the festival.
You have a right to object to this processing pursuant of data in accordance with to Article 21 of the GDPR. If a compelling ground for such objection exists, we will cease to use the recordings in which you are depicted as from the date of the objection.

6. Cookies
Our website uses “cookies”. These are small text files stored by the browser on your end device. They are harmless.
We use cookies to make our website user-friendly. Some cookies stay stored on your end device until you delete them. They allow us to identify your browser next time you visit.

8. Data security and confidentiality
Data security is a matter of great importance to us. steirischer herbst festival gmbh has taken all necessary technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of data processing and to process personal data in such a way as to protect them from access by unauthorized third parties. The IT infrastructure fulfills customary security requirements and is regularly reviewed.
All staff members of steirischer herbst festival gmbh have been bound to confidentiality with regard to any information entrusted to them or of which they become aware in the course of their work.

9. Your rights
You have the right of access, the right to rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, to withdraw consent and object. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection legislation or that your rights under data protection legislation have been otherwise injured, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.
