The Friday series at the herbst Club invites you to a very special rendezvous: an evening, a stage and two musicians who respect each other but who have never played together – improvised, unforeseen, fragile, surprising and evanescent.
Fri 01/10, 10.30 pm Rainer Binder-Krieglstein & Sir Tralala (A)
Both are perfectionists, creating sounds between electronica, folk and punk. Binder-Krieglstein experiments with folk music traditions (”New Weird Austria”) and meets David Hebenstreit, who captivates his audience with eccentricity, anarchy and tenderness in the guise of Sir Tralala.
Fri 08/10, 10.30 pm Max Min & Trouble Over Tokyo (A/GB)
Two creators of grand melodies, soulful, lilting, forceful: Max Min, singer-songwriter and member of the electro pop duo Fiago joins forces for an evening with the one-man show Trouble Over Tokyo (aka Toph Taylor).
Fri 15/10, 10.30 pm Marilies Jagsch & Paper Bird (A)
Two young front-line singer-songwriters from Austria: Anna Kohlweis (aka Paper Bird) and Marilies Jagsch. On the edges of the pop, electro, neo-folk genres. And above all: distinctive, forceful voices.
